In the 8th Poomsae Senior National Taekwondo Championship, Tashi Tundup bagged a silver and bronze medal.

 

The champion was felicitated by Minister for Ladakh Affairs and Cooperatives, Chhering Dorje on March 3 in Jammu.

Appreciating the young Taekwondo player, Minister said that youth of the State, particularly Ladakh region are talented and have exhibited spectacular performance in martial arts over the years. He said, ''Young boys and girls have started achieving new heights in sport and the State feels very proud of these youngsters.”

The Minister wished success to Tashi Tundup and hoped that he will bring laurels to the country in future by participating in the National and International events.

The 8th Poomsae Senior National Taekwondo Championship was held at Swarna Bharathi Indore Stadium, Vishakhapatnam from February 14 to 19.
