The Snow Leopard Brigade successfully hosted the second edition of the Nyoma Premier League, a cricket tournament that brought together young athletes from five villages in and around Nyoma on November 15.

Organized under Operation Sadbhavana, the event served as a vital platform for local youth to display their cricketing talents while promoting community harmony and sportsmanship.

Five teams, including a spirited ex-servicemen’s team, competed in a series of exciting matches. The Nyoma Youth Association Cricket Team claimed the championship trophy, earning both victory and local pride.

The final ceremony was graced by the presence of the Commander of the Snow Leopard Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 13 Guards, who served as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively. Distinguished civil dignitaries also attended the event, adding to its significance.

To encourage the participants, all team members were presented with cricket kits, tracksuits, jerseys, and shoes.

This inspiring initiative not only promotes a love for sports but also strengthens community bonds, fostering resilience, teamwork, and unity among the youth of Changthang.
