Ladakh players to participate in Khelo India Youth Games 2022 at Madhya Pradesh
Players from Ladakh are all set to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games to be held from 31st January to 11th February 2023 in Madhya Pradesh. The categories are Boxing, Archery, Thang-Ta, and Athletics.
Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar interacted with the players on January 27. He spoke on the importance of developing the potential of youth in the field of sports and stated that sports are a significant career choice wherein the youth can not only enjoy themselves but also build a successful career for themselves just like any other profession.
With the vision of inculcating sporting culture in Ladakh, Secretary Kumar urged the participants to develop positive attitudes and discipline to thrive in any sport. Secretary, Ravinder Kumar wished all the best to the participants.
The following players and officials are deputed to participate in Khelo India Youth Games in different categories: In Boxing Aseya Banno, Ghulam Rasool, Tougfail Latif, Irfan Ali, Kulsoom, Mingur Choton, Mohd. Hassan, Mohd. Irfan, Nusrat Fatima, Sayida Banno, and Zakir Hussain are taking part. In Thang Ta, Iftikhar Hussain, Irfan Ali, Mohd. Yunus, Muzafar Ali Khan, Shanaz Fatima, and Zahara Batool are participating, while in archery, Stanzin Namdol, and in athletics Zahran Aaways is taking part.
Ali Raza, Archery Official; Rinchen Dolma, Boxing Official; Konchok Namgail, Athletics Official; Mohamed Hasan, Thang ta Official; Marziya Banoo, Thang ta Official Ghulam Mustafa, Boxing Coach and Tsering Tashi, CDM/ District Youth Services and Sports, Leh are also accompanying with the players.
