National Junior Ice Hockey Championship 2014 was inaugurated by the Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalie on 30th January at Ice Hockey Rink Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium Biamathang Kargil.

It was organised by Ice Hockey Association of India in collaboration with Kargil Ice and Snow Sports Association (KISS) in which teams from all over India participated for the first time in Kargil.

On this occasion district officers, players and hundreds of spectators were present to witness the opening ceremony.
