First Qazaq Kures state championship concludes in Kargil
First UT Ladakh Qazaq Kures State Championship organised by Qazaq Kures Association Ladakh concluded on August 24 at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.
The championship was held for three-day starting August 22 and around 150 students were trained.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Chairman/CEC LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan thanked all the organisers for conducting the championship in the district. He also thanked all the referees, and trainers for providing training to the players and educating them about the game.
CEC Khan hailed the huge participation of girl players in the sports. He said in today’s world girls are leading in all spheres of life which is quite satisfying.
He said that LAHDC Kargil and District Administration are committed to providing sports facilities to emerging sports enthusiasts and players. He said many initiatives have been taken by the administration like the development of the indoor stadium Kargil into a world-class indoor stadium where all modern equipment and facilities will be provided.
Along with the development of modern sports infrastructure, CEC said LAHDC Kargil is focused on the development of traditional sports in the district including Ice Jockey, Polo, and Archery.
Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve also congratulated all the organisers, coaches, referees, and payers for successfully organising the championship.
He advised students to pick up a sport according to their interest and put all their efforts to be the master of the game.
DC Kargil also said that the potential of Ladakhi players is huge and there are a lot of scopes to make a career in the sports field. He further said that the district administration is providing all support to develop sports-related infrastructure.
President, Qazaq Kures Association Ladakh, Mehraj Shah thanked all the stakeholders, departments, coaches, and referees for successfully conducting the championship. He expressed gratitude to trainees and coaches for providing training to players.
Later, mementos and medals were distributed among the participants and winners.
