Diskit Angmo and Iftikar Hussain begin journey towards Paracycling nationals
The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, flagged off two athletes, Diskit Angmo and Iftikar Hussain, for Paralympic training in Hyderabad.
They are accompanied by Padma Chuskit, Warden, and Mukhtar Ali, Liaison Officer.
The athletes will receive specialized para-cycling training under the guidance of the Aditya Mehta Foundation, preparing them for the upcoming Paracycling Nationals in Hyderabad.
The duo was selected through a rigorous screening and counseling process conducted earlier at special schools for persons with disabilities.
This initiative is a pivotal step in the 2028 Paralympic Mission, a collaborative program launched by LAHDC, Leh, and the Aditya Mehta Foundation, aimed at nurturing talent for international competitions.
The council reaffirmed its commitment to empowering athletes with disabilities and enabling them to achieve excellence on the global stage.
LAHDC extended its best wishes to the athletes as they embark on this inspiring journey, representing Ladakh with pride and determination.
