20th Kailash Running trophy cricket tournament 2026 begins at Nyoma

The 20th Kailash Running Trophy Cricket Tournament 2026 commenced on June 14 at Watse Naga, Nyoma, marking two decades of sporting excellence, enthusiasm, and community participation in the Changthang region.

The tournament was formally inaugurated by Nitish Rajora, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Zaheer Abbas Jafri, JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Changthang, attended the inaugural ceremony as the Guest of Honour.

The opening match featured an exciting contest between Changthang Shan and Chushul Cranes, setting the tone for a competitive and thrilling tournament ahead.

The inaugural event witnessed the participation of a large number of sports enthusiasts, local residents, youth, and cricket lovers, who gathered to celebrate the beginning of one of the most prestigious cricket tournaments of the Changthang region.

The Kailash Running Trophy has over the years emerged as an important platform for promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement, and community bonding in the region.
