Zanskar celebrates 75th Republic Day
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor in Zanskar Sub Division on January 26.
SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk unfurled the National Flag. He inspected the parade and took a salute at the march past presented by the contingents of Ladakh Police, Ex-Serviceman Ladakh Scout, NCC, and various schools.
The event was attended by Padma Shri awardee Tsultrim Chonjor as a guest of honour, Councillor Lungnak, Stanzin Lakpa, all the religious heads, and the officers and officials of the Sub Division were present.
Addressing the gathering, SDM Zanskar enumerated the major developmental works in Sub Division Zanskar such as NH-301 and NPD roads. He also appreciated all line departments' efforts and endeavors to provide the best quality service to the public.
Patriotic and folk songs were presented by the children of different schools. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes, and appreciation certificates among the participants, best employees and position holders of the sub-division.
