WWF India and Kargil Wildlife Division organise rally to raise awareness on conservation

The Wildlife Protection Division Kargil, in collaboration with WWF India, organized a rally on wildlife conservation on October 9. Students of Mutahhary Public School, Suru Valley School, and Jaffaria Academy of Modern Education participated.

Themed “Wildlife Conservation Through Co-Existence,” the rally saw students march from Hussaini Park to Circular Road, culminating at the Cultural Academy.

Raza Ali Abidi, Wildlife Warden and Assistant Director of DIPR Kargil, highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation and community involvement, stating, “Our wildlife is an integral part of our heritage, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure its protection.”

The event also featured a painting competition, where students showcased their artistic talents and envisioned a world where humans and wildlife coexist harmoniously. Awards were presented to participants in recognition of their creativity and commitment.
The rally united students, educators, and community members in raising awareness about wildlife conservation, emphasizing the need to preserve the environment for future generations.
