UTLSC meeting focuses on Bank and ATM security in Ladakh
Advisor, Dr Pawan Kotwal chaired the 4th meeting of the Union Territory Level Security Committee (UTLSC) for the UT of Ladakh on July 1 under the aegis of Regional Director of the Reserve Bank of India, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh Chandrashekhar Azad, at Leh.
Dr Pawan Kotwal impressed upon the safety of treasure, and security of bank branches, and ATMs and ensured full support from the government/police authorities in the matter.
Regional Director of RBI Chandrashekhar Azad highlighted that within the overarching objectives of the Clean Note Policy, it is obligatory on the part of RBI to ensure the adequate and timely supply of clean notes even to the remotest parts of Ladakh.
The meeting was attended by ADGP, Ladakh, Dr S.D. Singh Jamwal; Security Advisor, RBI, Prabhat Ranjan, IPS (Retd); General Manager, DCM, RBI, G.J. Raju, along with the senior officials of Government departments, banks, and Reserve Bank of India, Jammu.
