Hill Council, Leh congratulated all the police personnel’s serving in different wings of J&K Police earlier on the formation of ‘Ladakh Police’ on May 24.

Gyal P Wangyal said that it is a very happy moment for every Ladakhi especially for the police personnel of Ladakh and their family members. He said that it is also a tribute to all those Ladakhi police personnel who struggled and sacrificed their lives in Kashmir valley countering different challenges since many decades. 
 
He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah, and L-G R.K Mathur for giving approval for the formation of “Ladakh Police”. 
 
Extending best wishes to the police personnel in their new journey headed by IGP Ladakh S.S Khandare, Gyal P Wangyal hoped that Ladakh Police will touch new heights and emerge as a role model in providing better policing in coming days and years.
