Training programme held for presiding officers
The District Administration organised a training programme for employees of the Education department who have been assigned duties as Presiding Officers (POs) and Polling Officers-1 (PO-1) for the Lok Sabha election at the Auditorium Hall on May 7.
The training programme covered various aspects of elections, including the operation of EVMs and other electoral procedures, to ensure that polling staff are well-prepared to oversee polling stations and facilitate a fair and efficient voting process on Election Day.
Nearly 600 Presiding Officers and Polling Officers attended the training programme, which was led by the master trainers, Kacho Hassan Khan (Lecturer) and Muhammad Ali (Lecture
Nodal Officer PV, EDC Kargil, Abdul Hadi, emphasised the importance of sincerity among the participants towards their duties.
The Master Trainers provided training on VVPAT/EVM usage and other election-related activities, including necessary documentation. They also discussed the duties and precautions to be observed by Presiding Officers.
Deputy District Election Officer, Kargil, Muhammad Sharief, along with other concerned officials, was present at the event.
