State-Level RGSA training programme on Rural Development concludes at Leh

A three-day State-Level Training Programme on the Effective Implementation of Rural Development Schemes under the Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) successfully concluded on February 7 in Leh.

Held from February 5 to 7, the programme aimed to strengthen technical knowledge and implementation capacities at the grassroots level to ensure effective delivery of rural development initiatives.

The training programme was organized under the guidance of Syed Sajjad Qadri (JKAS), Director/SMD, Rural Development Department & Panchayati Raj, UT Ladakh. Aqeel Sajjad (JKAS), District Panchayat Officer and Nodal Officer for RGSA Capacity Building and Training, supervised the smooth conduct of the programme.

Dr. Bilal Ahmad Mir, State Project Manager (SPM–RGSA), played a pivotal role in planning and monitoring the training programme. The programme was closely monitored by DPM–RGSA, Stanzin Padma, along with the RGSA Leh team, who also ensured the timely uploading of participant details on the Training Management Portal.

The training was conducted for Junior Engineers, Technical Assistants, and Work Supervisors, with focused sessions on scheme guidelines, digital tools, monitoring mechanisms, and best practices for effective implementation of rural development schemes.

Dr. Shafia Wani, Assistant Professor, IMPA&RD Srinagar, served as the Master Trainer and led technical sessions, offering expert guidance and practical insights to participants.

The successful conclusion of the programme underscores the commitment of the Rural Development Department to enhancing technical efficiency, transparency, and the effective delivery of rural development initiatives across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
