Special mobile passport seva camp for Haj-2027 aspirants Begins in Kargil

A special Mobile Passport Seva Camp for Haj-2027 aspirants commenced in Kargil on June 15 and will continue on June 16. The two-day camp has been jointly organized by the Haj Committee, Union Territory of Ladakh, and the District Administration Kargil to provide passport-related services to intending Haj pilgrims of the district.

The camp aims to offer convenient and hassle-free passport services, enabling prospective pilgrims to complete the required documentation for the upcoming Haj pilgrimage. Under the special camp arrangement, a total of 80 appointments have been made available, with 40 appointments scheduled on June 15 and the remaining 40 on June 16.

Chairman, Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, Ghulam Abbas Abidi, along with members of the committee, expressed gratitude to the District Administration Kargil for its support and cooperation in organizing the camp. They especially thanked Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, IAS, for extending assistance in making the initiative successful.

The Haj Committee also conveyed sincere appreciation to B. S. Rawat, Regional Passport Officer, Srinagar, for facilitating the special Mobile Passport Seva Camp for Haj-2027 aspirants.

The initiative is expected to benefit a large number of intending Haj pilgrims by ensuring timely processing of passport applications and reducing the need for applicants to travel outside the district for passport-related services.
