Management of Chutak Power Station, Kargil cautioned people not to go near the river on June 30 between 5 am to 3 pm as silt reservoir flushing at Chutak Barrage will be carried out.

The water level in the river downstream of Chutak Barrage would rise above existing levels due to the release of water. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil informed all people including those residing nearby downstream of the barrage not to go near the riverside during the flushing period.
