SIDCO Leh inspects mini Industrial Estate at Diskit for planned development
Senior Manager, Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDCO), Leh, on May 9 conducted a comprehensive inspection visit to the Mini Industrial Estate at Diskit, Nubra, along with officials from the Engineering Wing of SIDCO and the Revenue Department, Nubra.
The visit was aimed at assessing the present status of the underdeveloped estate and evaluating the scope for proper mapping and planned development of the area for future allotment purposes.
During the inspection, the team reviewed the existing infrastructure and discussed measures for systematic plotting and scientific mapping of the land to ensure a well-planned and organised industrial layout.
The officials emphasized the importance of planned infrastructure development to facilitate transparent and efficient allotment of land to aspiring Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. The initiative is expected to promote industrial growth, generate employment opportunities, and strengthen the local economy of Nubra.
Officials from the Revenue Department extended necessary support for demarcation and provided detailed inputs regarding road connectivity surrounding the estate to facilitate better planning of entry and exit points for smooth accessibility and future industrial development.
Meanwhile, the Engineering Wing of SIDCO examined the technical aspects required for organised plotting and development of the estate.
The visiting team reiterated SIDCO’s commitment towards developing industrial infrastructure in remote regions and ensuring better opportunities for entrepreneurs under the MSME sector in Ladakh.
The inspection concluded with directions for the preparation of a proper layout plan and detailed mapping of the estate for future allotment and developmental works.
