Secretary Power reviews 9 MW Dah, 9 MW Hanu, 66 KV Transmission Line projects
Secretary Power and New Renewable Energy (NRE) UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar reviewed and monitored the progress of the ongoing works of 9 MW Dah, 9 MW Hanu HEPs and 66 KV Dah-Hanu-Khaltsi Transmission Line Project on May 18.
Secretary Power directed the Turn Key Contract Agency to improve the manpower deployment and utilize the maximum possible advantage of the present working season so that the twin projects of Dah and Hanu along with the 66 KV Transmission Line are completed by October 2022 within the final approved completion date.
The Secretary briefed that when completed, the twin projects with a total installed capacity of 18 MW will provide a clean source of power as a renewable energy source and therefore directed the Power Department to plan for meeting the power demand of Ladakh from these projects and reduce the dependence on the grid for power.
Chief Engineer Generation Ladakh, Chief Project Engineer, Hydel Generation Kargil, Executive Engineer CD Khaltsi and EPD Leh were also present during the project visit along with representatives of the Turn Key Contract (TKC) Agency M/s P&R Infra project and PMC M/s WAPCOS Ltd.
Also, the department was instructed to review and monitor the manpower deployment by the agency and work progress.
