SDM Zanskar hands over PPEs, medical supplies to BMO, directs Handloom Department to prepare face masks Distribution of ration under PMGKY starts in Zanskar
Sonam Dorjay, SDM Zanskar on April 10 handed over Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), sanitizers, spray machines and other medical supplies to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Zanskar.
PPEs and other necessary medical supplies were dispatched to Zanskar by the Director Health Services UT Ladakh and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil through MI-17 helicopters of Indian Air Force (IAF).
The PPEs and other medical supplies include 900 surgical masks, 860 N-95 masks, 700 examination gloves, 350 shoe covers, 53 PPEs, 20 digital thermometers, 75 dispo gowns, hand sanitizers and other related items.
Sonam Dorjay also visited Handloom Department Zanskar and found sufficient stock of cotton clothes in the departmental store. He directed the concerned department to prepare face masks for distribution among the public as wearing of masks has now been made mandatory by the UT Administration Ladakh.
Meanwhile, SDM also started the distribution of free ration to the AAY/PHH card-holders of Zanskar under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.
