Demanding early redressal of the issues, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers called one day strike on July 28 in all zones of the Kargil district.

The demand includes implementation of 7th Pay Commission for SSA teachers and Delinking of their salary which is pending in the whole State from the last three months.

 

Under the banner of J&K Teacher Joint Action Committee, the SSA teachers protested peacefully outside the respective ZEO offices in their zones. 

 

Khadim Raza, President, SSA Teachers Association Kargil said that the main motive of the protest is to lodge their demands with the higher authorities. 

 

The protester submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding early redressal of their long pending issues.
