A 3 ACR building of Middle School Chusgo Phyang constructed under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme at a unit cost of ₹ 4.95 lacs was inaugurated by the Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar on 31st August in Phyang.

Rigzin Spalbar said that they should focus for quality education rather than quantity.  He also directed ZEO, Leh and headmaster for early whitewashing of the newly constructed building.

He said that earlier few teachers who were dedicated were criticized by the remaining teachers, but now the trend has reversed.  Today there are only a few teachers who are not committed & being strongly criticized by the society which is a sign of change and it's encouraging. 

The VEC members demanded hand pump for the school and ground leveling of the school ground on the occasion.
