Sankoo celebrates 44th anniversary of Islamic Revolution
44th anniversary of the Islamic revolution day was celebrated on February 11 at Sankoo sub-division of the Kargil district. Rallies and congregations were organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Kargil.
Thousands of men, women, and children were holding Iranian, Indian, and Palestinian flags and raised slogans in favour of Iran and its supreme leader Ayatollah Khomeini.
Religious scholars including Aga Syeed Jaffer Rizvi; Aga Syed Abass Rizvi; Sheikh Murtaza Ansari; Sheikh Mohammad Alu and other religious scholars were present on the occasion.
The scholars spoke about the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini(R.A)
On February 10, the mosques, Imam Bargah, and roofs of residential houses were illuminated to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
The celebration marks the victory of the 1979 Islamic revolution Led by Ayatullah Imam Khomeini (R.A) which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed pahlavi regime this was also a day of paying tribute to those who sacrifice their lives during the revolution. The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran from exile (Feb 1, 1979) marks the beginning of the Ten-Day Dawn in ceremonies that culminate with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
