SANKALP launches 100-day awareness campaign in Nubra Block for women's empowerment
The District Hub for Empowerment of Women inaugurated a 100-day special awareness campaign under SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women on June 21 in Nubra Block. This initiative focuses on empowering women and girls through comprehensive awareness sessions and camps.
The campaign, which began on June 21, encompasses all components of Mission Shakti, including PMMVY, OSC, and WHL, reaching communities and schools across Nubra Block, UT Ladakh.
SANKALP aims to establish a robust support system for women by providing crucial information, resources, and services. Key highlights include:
- Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY): Providing financial assistance to pregnant women and lactating mothers.
- One Stop Centers (OSC): Offering integrated support to women affected by violence.
- Women Helpline (WHL): Operating round-the-clock to respond promptly to women in distress.
The campaign features interactive sessions, workshops, and educational activities designed to raise awareness and understanding of these vital services.
