Rinchen Youdol wins Bronze at World Para Poomsae Taekwondo championships

Vikram Singh Malik, Secretary of Youth Services and Sports, congratulated Rinchen Youdol for securing a Bronze Medal at the inaugural World Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championships in Manama, Bahrain.

Rinchen Youdol, the daughter of Morup Dorjey and Stanzin Angmo from Bodhkharboo village in Kargil district, has become the first athlete from Ladakh to achieve such a prestigious honor at an international Para Taekwondo championship. Competing against a strong field of international athletes, Rinchen showcased remarkable resilience and determination to clinch the Bronze Medal.

Praising her accomplishment, Secretary Vikram Singh Malik stated that Rinchen’s achievement has brought immense pride to Ladakh and the entire nation. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Union Territory Administration to support and nurture talented athletes like Rinchen by providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities to excel. He also wished her continued success in her athletic journey, expressing hope for many more accolades in her future.
