96 students participated during the e-counselling session organised by research scholar's from Barsoo block, Kargil.

The speakers include Dr Mohd Issa, Dental Surgeon; Mohd Ilyass Kargili, Research Scholar, Delhi University; Dr Mohd Hussain Wazir, MBBS, MS Orthopedic; Dr Sadiqa Mehroom, MBBS GMC; Nissar Hussain Noori, Assistant Professor, Commerce MANUU Hyderabad; Altaf Hussain, Bank Associate and Research scholars, Ahmad Hussain, Manzoor Ali, Khadim Hussain, Ghulam Mohammed and  Zakir Ali.

Mohd Ilyass Kargili said, “The overwhelming participation in the online event has encouraged us morally and we are proud that students from different parts of the block have participated.”

Ahmad Hussain said that the objective of the event is to guide students from various streams to understand the existing circumstances of the pandemic and prepare for challenges in terms of career designing and job opportunities".

The speakers spoke on the various topic including post matric scholarship/fellowship, schemes in UG/PG and higher education, Higher Education in light of NEP, Future and prospect in Arts and Humanities after graduation, a career path in science (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) & Career path in life science after graduation.

The participants demanded offline career guidance programs at the village level too.

Local people, as well as the teaching fraternity of Barsoo, welcomed the initiative of the scholars.

Master Hamid Wazir urges them to continue with such programs in future as well.  He also requested the organizing committee to organize such a program at Higher Secondary School Barsoo every season.
