Administrative Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department, Ravinder Kumar inspected the recently inaugurated 1000 MT cold storage facility at Dambuchan, Leh on November 4.

The project was started in the year 2016 with an estimated cost of ₹11.61 crore and completed on October 31, 2020.

Project Manager, Gaurav from Arctic Refrigeration Pvt. Limited apprised the secretary about various facilities of the chambers/compartments and their uses with storage capacities.
 
Ravinder Kumar directed the officials of the cooperative Department Leh to train and engage manpower for operationalization of the cold storage, especially for the winter stocking. He said that the facility shall benefit the entire populace of Leh district, especially during the harsh winter months when the road connectivity is closed.

The secretary was accompanied by Executive Engineer, Construction Division, PWD, OSD to the cooperative secretary and officials of Cooperative Department Leh
