Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Baseer ul Haq Choudhary convened a review meeting regarding preparation for Republic Day-2021 celebration in the district on January 11.
 
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Tsering Motup; Divisional Forest Officer, Sajid Sultan; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kargil, Shabir Hussain; Deputy SP DAR Kargil, Executive Engineers of various Sub Divisions besides all concerned district officers attended the meeting.
 
DC Kargil said that the main function of the Republic Day will be held at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang while similar functions will be held at Sub Divisional and Tehsil levels as well. He directed the concerned officers to ensure proper social distancing norms while making the seating arrangements for the invitees and participants. 
 
CMO Kargil was asked to ensure the provision of masks and sanitizers to the invitees, participants as well as the officers and officials deployed on duty at the venue of the function.
 
Decoration of the main venue, seating arrangements, PA System, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, medicare facilities, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, invitations, cleanliness and sanitation measures, illumination of Government buildings and vital installations, traffic management, and other required arrangements were discussed.
 
The Education, Information, Youth Services, and Sports and Cultural Academy were instructed to organize online inter-college and inter-school debate competitions on patriotic themes in connection with the Republic Day celebrations.
