PM eVidya workshop ends at DIET Leh with focus on digital learning
The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, concluded the four-day PM eVidya DTH TV channels orientation-cum-training workshop on June 12 with a valedictory session that celebrated collaboration, innovation, and the collective vision of educators across Ladakh.
The session was graced by Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Education, UT Ladakh, who in her address emphasized the transformative role of digital platforms in bridging educational gaps and reaffirmed the UT Administration’s commitment to strengthening Ladakh’s digital learning infrastructure.
On behalf of DIET Leh, Head of Department Tsering Yangdol extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings.
The valedictory session featured insightful remarks from Dr. Anantha S. Nayak, Assistant Professor, RIE Ajmer and State Coordinator for Ladakh, who highlighted the need to contextualize PM eVidya resources for Ladakh’s unique educational environment. Experts from NCERT, including Dr. Piyush Vishwakarma, Ruchi L. Khatri, Monika Bhakuni, and Akilesh Verma, shared practical strategies for digital pedagogy and content creation, inspiring teachers to embrace innovation in their classrooms.
Special thanks were extended to Mansukh Bhai Rathod, Film Producer, Manoranjan Badatya, and Hrishikesh Sen, Cameraman, for their valuable contributions in supporting the program’s success. The event was also honored by the presence of Phunstog Dorjey, DEPO Leh, and Chamba Standar, ZEPO Leh, whose encouragement underscored the importance of collaborative educational initiatives.
As part of the valedictory program, videos prepared by participants were showcased to Bhanu Prabha, reflecting the creativity and commitment of Ladakh’s educators. Certificates and mementos were awarded to all participants in recognition of their enthusiastic engagement, while experts from Delhi also received mementos as a token of appreciation for their guidance. The collaborative efforts of Principal S.D. Namgyal of DIET Kargil and Principal Mirza Mehdi of DIET Leh were acknowledged for their leadership in jointly hosting this landmark workshop.
The valedictory session marked not only the conclusion of the workshop but also the beginning of a renewed digital journey for Ladakh’s education system—anchored in innovation, inclusivity, and collaborative spirit.
