A central rapid response team of doctors of PGIMER, Chandigarh was deputed for Leh by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI.

They met with R. K. Mathur, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on March 2 and submit the report regarding the preparedness measures for COVID-19 in Union
Territory, Ladakh.  
 
They have proposed certain recommendations to further ensure safety and containment of COVID-19 in future.   
 
Doctors also appreciated the people of Ladakh for their sense of understanding and cooperation in observing the lockdown and combating the COVID-19. They also complimented the pro-active role of UT administration and Health Department in COVID-19 related activities.
