Pagaria Welfare Foundation launches Toy Library initiative 'Project Khelona' in Rural Schools of Kargil, Ladakh
Pagaria Welfare Foundation, in collaboration with its Implementing Partners Himalayan Volunteer Tourism and Humas Upliftment Organisation Ladakh, has inaugurated Toy Libraries under the 'Project Khelona' initiative in both government and private schools across Kargil, Ladakh.
The initiative was unveiled on June 9 at Unity Public School in Minjee, Kargil. This toy library, a first of its kind in rural Ladakh under 'Project Khelona,' was inaugurated by Chairman Ghulam Mehdi Sheikh, with Founder Altaf Hussain of Humas Upliftment Organisation Ladakh, and Ghulam Hassan, Principal of Unity Public School, among others in attendance.
The toy library is equipped with a diverse array of educational toys aimed at fostering social and motor skills among children. These toys are strategically designed to simplify complex concepts, making learning both engaging and comprehensible for young minds.
Featuring over 38 different types of toys catering to various age groups, the library ensures that every child, from class 1st to 5th, has access to resources that stimulate learning and growth. With the launch of this initiative, over 70 children in Minjee, Kargil, now have the opportunity to enrich their educational experiences and academic performance through interactive play and learning.
