New District Committee meets delegates from Trans Singey Lalok area
The New District Committee held a meeting with delegates from the Trans Singey Lalok area on November 18 at the DC Office Conference Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd.), with committee members Kacho Asfandyar Khan, IAS (Retd.), Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd.), and Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve (ex-officio), also in attendance.
Delegates from the Trans Singey Lalok area shared their views and expressed their desire to remain part of Leh District. They emphasized the shorter distance to Leh via the Nimo-Padum-Darcha road as a key factor influencing their preference. The delegates highlighted that this decision was made collectively, with inputs from all villages within the Trans Singey Lalok region.
Chairman Pramod Kumar Jain assured the delegates that their proposal would be carefully noted and evaluated based on merit and feasibility.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Trans Singey Lalok Area Committee, Konchok Nurboo, along with committee members Tashi Dorjey, Lobzang Targais, Gurmat Namgyal, Chemat, and several other representatives from the region.
