Nehru Yuva Kendra Leh organises district-level neighborhood youth program
Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh organised a district-level neighborhood youth program at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Leh on March 16.
Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh, Tajamul Ara, welcomed the guests and participants.
Addressing the audience, DC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, Leh emphasized the profound theme of the programme, ‘One Earth One Family,’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’ – the vision to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. He shed light on the crucial role of the youth in shaping the future of the nation, stressing the importance of their active participation in electoral processes through SVEEP initiatives. Furthermore, he encouraged the youths to excel in their studies, thereby contributing effectively to the nation-building process.
Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Leh, Deachen Angmo spoke about the intricacies of 'Viksit Bharat' or Developed India, providing a comprehensive understanding of the aspirations and goals set forth for the nation's progress.
To promote health awareness,ICTC Counsellor, SNM Leh, Stanzin Dolma, sensitized the audience about natural health practices and menstrual hygiene, addressing prevalent issues such as anemia among adolescents in Ladakh.
A cultural program by students from Girls Higher Secondary School Leh was also presented.
Besides, the Deputy Director NYK Leh presented mementoes to Deputy Commissioner, Leh, and the participants for their invaluable contributions.
Concluding the event, Chief Education Officer, Leh, Sonam Wangchuk, extended the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and contributions towards the success of the program.
