Team of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Leh lead by Col A.M. Shende, Commanding Officer NCC Leh met Radha Krishna Mathur, Lieutenant Governor on February 8 in Leh.

The NCC team participated in the Republic Day function at New Delhi.

R K Mathur appreciated the girl cadets for their participation in the Republic day parade and other cadets for their participation in events like PM rally and cultural performances etc. 

The jubilant team of young cadets shared their enriching experiences of unity, discipline, integrity, and patriotism.

NCC Parade began in 1954 and is also termed as ‘PM’s day with the cadets’. This parade is conducted on every 28th of January which is also the birth anniversary of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, the first Indian Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Indian Army. The ground where the rally is held is named after him as Cariappa Parade ground.
