National Service Scheme unit of EJM college cleans Sindhu Ghat Leh
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh organised a mega cleanliness drive at Sindhu Ghat Leh on October 19.
The initiative was carried out as part of the government's celebration of Mega Swachchata Diwas.
Under the ongoing Clean India Campaign 2.0, the NSS unit of EJM College, Leh headed by its Convenor/ Assistant Professor, Zoology, Padma Wangchuk, cleaned and collected plastic waste and other forms of garbage of about 200 kgs at Sindhu Ghat, Leh.
The cleanliness drive aimed to raise awareness and ensure that the natural surroundings of Ladakh are always kept clean.
NSS members Assistant Professor English, Sonam Angmo and Assistant Professor Commerce, Jigmet Yangdol along with EJM faculty members and staff volunteered and participated in the cleanliness drive.
