Member Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal visited villages of Khardong, Khaltsar, Diskit and Hunder and took stock of the developmental needs, issues and grievances of the people on July 11.

The MP is on his 8-day tour to Nubra Sub-division accompanied by Deputy Chairman, Hill Council, Leh, Tsering Sandup; area Councilors of Diskit and Hunder; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Sonam Norboo; Executive Engineer, Spalzang and Block level Officers.

At Khaltsar, area BDC chairperson and village head demanded distribution of T-Mor land for housing and agriculture purposes. Villagers of Khardong demanded the installation of generator sets for electric supply and other related issues.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal assured all the villagers that all genuine demands would be considered on priority.

At Diskit, he visited COVID Care Centre and appreciated the efforts of the doctors and all paramedical staff who are rendering their services tirelessly. He also visited Sub-district hospital, Diskit, and under construction ShasyTaknak bridge.

Later, BDC Chairperson submitted a copy of the memorandum, demanding district status for Nubra Subdivision, up-gradation of Sub-district Hospital Diskit, operation of private aircraft under UDAN scheme, strengthen of KV school, earlier approval of proposed plans of Panchayat halqa and other related issues.
