MP Ladakh lays foundation stone for improvement, up-gradation of T01 to Tegar road Inaugurates 82-meter long motorable bridge at Rongdo
Foundation stone for the improvement/up-gradation of the road from T01 to Tegar under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) was laid by Member Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal in presence of Deputy Chairman Hill Council, Leh, Tsering Sandup on July 16 at Tegar area of Nubra Sub Division.
Councilor Panamik, Rigzin Lundup area BDC chairperson, Lobzang Gyatso, and villagers were present.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said that the up-gradation of the road is stretched over a length of 3.54 km and its sanctioned cost is approx. ₹3.45 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin SadakYojana (PMGSY) scheme.
The road is the long pending demands of Panamik constituency. Area Councilor, BDC chairperson, people of Teggar village & its adjoining areas thanked MP, Ladakh for executing the project.
Enroute to Rongdo, Jamyang also visited Tsati and Chamshen village where Public representatives and village heads demanded blacktopping of Tsati road and other major and minor developmental works. MP Namgyal also inspected the newly built hydroelectric project of Chamshain village.
He also inaugurated 82-meter long Rongdo motorable bridge built at a cost of ₹6.15 crores by the executing agency, PWD.
