MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated 5 Jio mobile telecommunication towers in Zanskar on July 14.

The mobile towers have been installed at Raru, Itcher and Cha village of Lungnak Block and Sani, Stongday villages of Zanskar Block. 

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal congratulated the people of Zanskar for getting connected with the global digital network with the rest of the world. He said that this will remarkably help the student community who have suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic and are dependent on online classes.

He further assured that the rest of the towers sanctioned for the Zanskar Sub Division will be installed and made functional by end of this working season.

Councilor Cha, Stanzin Lakpa expressed gratitude to the MP Ladakh and General Manager Rigzin Angmo Jio mobile telecommunication for establishing mobile connectivity in far off places of Zanskar like Lungnak and other villages.
