Department of Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh and WAPCOS Limited, a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Jal Shakti signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the construction of multi-sports complexes in Leh and Kargil district on June 25.
 
Administrative Secretary, Ravinder Kumar on behalf of the Department of Youth Services and Sports and Rakshit Kerni, Project in charge, Construction Works, Ladakh on behalf of WAPCOS Limited signed the MoU.
 
Two multi-sports complexes with state-of-the-art facilities will be set up, one in Leh and one in Kargil with an approximate cost of Rs. 60 crores, Rs.30 crores each for Leh and Kargil District. The sites have already been identified and finalized for the project. 
 
Secretary Ravinder expressed that such projects will provide the platform and boosts the youth of UT Ladakh in the sports sector.
