Zanskar :

Tushar Anand, Mission Director, NHM Ladakh, conducted an inspection visit to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Zanskar on May 20 during his ongoing three-day tour of Zanskar and Kargil districts.

Accompanied by the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Zanskar, the Mission Director interacted with doctors, paramedical staff, and healthcare workers, who raised various issues, including loyalty bonus, enhancement of wages, and long-pending transfers.

Tushar Anand assured the staff that their genuine demands would be taken up with the Ministry of Health and other concerned authorities for consideration.

He also interacted with patients to gather feedback on healthcare services and emphasised the importance of patient-centric, efficient service delivery.

During the inspection, the Mission Director visited the Operation Theatre (OT), wards, pharmacy, and other sections of the hospital. He issued directions to strengthen healthcare delivery, properly maintain records, improve transparency through information boards, and better manage hospital services.

The visit reflects NHM Ladakh’s continued commitment towards improving healthcare infrastructure and service delivery in remote regions of the Union Territory.
