Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan chaired a meeting with concerned District Officers/Officials and members of Baqriya Health Care and Research Centre (BHC&RC) at the Council Secretariat, Kargil on January 24 regarding Menstrual Health and Hygiene program to be held on February 5.

Detailed discussion on the feasibility and various other aspects to conduct the Menstrual Health and Hygiene program in the district was carried out.

CEC congratulated BHC&RC Kargil for receiving the prestigious State Award in the field of social reform and empowerment protection this year. He hailed BHC&RC’s efforts for carrying out various philanthropic works in Kargil with a focus on health which is benefitting people belonging to economically marginal sections of society.

CEC also appreciated the Menstrual Health and Hygiene program of the BHC&RC in the district which is scheduled to be held on February 05, 2023. He assured all possible assistance from LAHDC Kargil and directed CEO, Deputy CMO, and District Program Officer ICDS to invite female staff on the scheduled date.

Feroz Khan also requested members of BHC&RC to organize such beneficial programs for rural women folks as well so that maximum women, young and adolescent girls are sensitized about menstrual health and hygiene.
