Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute (Men-Tsee-Khang) organizes a five-day basic course on Tibetan medicine in English on 20th to 25th August at MenTsee Khang Cultural Centre, Leh.

The objective of the course is to build a foundation on Tibetan medicine and astrology and to open up the gate for the studies in Tibetan Medicine. In the course, the participants were not only from India but from other parts of the world and four doctors (Amchis) from Medical and Astrological College, Dharamsala.

 

The course comprises of brief history on Tibetan Medicine, Diagnostic techniques & Treatment measures in Tibetan medicine, the relationship between Tibetan medicine and Astro science and many more Tibetan medicine related points and concepts were cleared.

Tibetan medicine (Sowa-rigpa) healed countless patients worldwide and is effective in treating both mental and physical disorder.
