Meeting to establish Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in UT Ladakh held
Amit Sharma, the Administrative Secretary of Information Technology for UT Ladakh, chaired a meeting on December 21 focused on establishing an electronic manufacturing cluster.
The session commenced with an insightful virtual presentation by a Consultant Agency, offering a comprehensive overview to IT Secretary Amit Sharma and his team. The presentation delved into critical facets including infrastructure, technology, and the envisioned scope of the proposed electronic manufacturing clusters across the nation.
Secretary IT Ladakh Amit Sharma emphasising the strategic importance of the initiative, articulated the need for the seamless functioning of the electronic manufacturing unit in UT Ladakh. He highlighted its pivotal role in advancing technological capacities and fostering an environment conducive to innovation.
Throughout the meeting, Secretary Sharma urged the Consultant Agency to outline a detailed timeline for setting up the electronic manufacturing cluster in Ladakh. He stressed the importance of adherence to a structured timeline for timely execution and success of the project. Sharma highlighted the prospective economic growth, employment opportunities, and the positioning of UT Ladakh as a center for state-of-the-art technology through the establishment of the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Secretary of IT, UT Ladakh Abdul Majid Tantary, Under Secretary of RDD, UT Ladakh Mohit Sharma, IT Managers of the department, IT Consultants of the department, and other concerned officers of the Information Technology Department.
