Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve who is also the Chairman, District Level Authority Committee (DLAC) chaired a meeting for the effective implementation of “Safe Food and Healthy Diet” in the district on January 5.

Detailed discussion and deliberation were held upon the various aspects and effective implementation of “Safe Food and Healthy Diet”.

The meeting discussed registration of Eat Right School, Eat Right Campus (Police Jails, Police Canteen), and registration of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license in all ICDS/MDM/PDS stores up to February 15.

DC instructed CMO Kargil to impart training to all the Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs). He also directed to provide dustbins and ensure water availability for street food vendors for effective implementation of the clean street food hub.

The meeting was attended by CMO Kargil (Vice -Chairperson), CEO Education Kargil (Member), CAO (Member), DPO ICDS (Member), General Manager DIC, Kargil (Member), Executive Officer MC Kargil (Member), Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Kargil (Member Secretary) & SHO Kargil.
