A team of government officers and officials headed by Naib Tehsildar Ibrahim Khan conducted market checking in Padum, Zanskar on February 18.

Various general stores, restaurants, dhabas, cosmetic shops, vegetable sellers, and chicken sellers were inspected during the checking. An amount of ₹ 7,800 was fined from the defaulters.

The team seized expired products, rotten vegetables, and fruits from different shops and imposed fines. The team disposed of the seized products.
