Under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Literary Club of Eliezer Joldan Memorial College Leh invited Nawang Tsering Shakspo for an interactive session and talk on his literary journey on May 14.

Nawang Tsering Shakspo spoke in-depth about his literary struggles and how he overcame them. He appealed to the young audience to read, write, promote and preserve Ladakhi Literary tradition. 

He said that there is a lot of scope of research in Ladakh but very few researchers come forward and do in-depth research about the rich culture, language and traditions of Ladakh.

“Young children have great energy and potential. If this energy is used in the right direction then it can do wonders. Inculcating reading habits is important to improve writing skills”, he added.
