LAHDC Leh bids farewell to outgoing SSP Leh P.D Nitya
Hill Council, Leh accorded a warm farewell to the outgoing Sr. Superintendent of Police Leh, P.D Nitya (IPS) with a symbolic dinner hosted at the Grand Dragon Ladakh on January 28.
Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk; Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; Leader of Opposition, Tsering Namgyal and Councillors of LAHDC Leh, Joint Dy. Director IB, Priyanshu Pandey; SSP CID Ladakh, Stanzin Losal and District officers of District Administration, Leh were present during the occasion.
CEC Gyalson appreciated P.D Nitya for her working style and administerial capabilities contributing an indispensable service to the welfare and benefit of the people of Ladakh. He also recounted the efforts of P.D Nitya in monitoring and providing wide awareness on major issues including drug abuse, and women's safety in the district. Extending his good wishes to P.D Nitya, CEC expressed hope that she would soon return to serve the people of Ladakh in a higher position with greater responsibility.
He also congratulated Shruti Arora (IPS) for getting promoted as the new SSP Leh and hoped for continuous coordination to work for the welfare of the people of Leh, Ladakh.
Similarly, DC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve also shared and recounted anecdotes of outgoing SSP Leh, P.D Nitya highlighting her dedication, hard work and exemplary work in ensuring a very good law and order situation in coordination with the District Administration, Leh.
P.D Nitya thanked LAHDC Leh headed by Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson, Dy Chairman, Executive Councillors and Councillors for making her tenure in the Leh district successful and memorable. She added that her experience of serving in Leh was successful due to the support and understanding of the able leaders and officers of Ladakh. P.D Nitya also stated that she would readily accept any opportunity to serve the people of Ladakh again.
An interaction session was also conducted with the Trainee IAS officers (AGMUT Cadre) during the event where the officers shared their experiences exploring Ladakh and mentioned that they would love to serve in Ladakh in future.
As a token of gratitude for the selfless service of SSP P.D Nitya, LAHDC and District Administration, Leh felicitated outgoing SSP and newly appointed SSP Leh along with the Trainee IAS officers with traditional khataks and mementos during the event.
