Students and two teachers from Higher Secondary Schools in the villages of Silmo, Biamah, and Chiktan were flagged off from the Tiger Hill Brigade on June 6 to participate in a motivational tour. This program was organised as a lead-up to the Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas by the Forever in Operations Division. During the tour, the students visited Zorawar Fort in Leh, gaining exposure to India's glorious past, the treasures of its rulers, and vintage coins and postage stamps. They also toured the Hall of Fame in Leh, which stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made by soldiers to ensure the safety and sovereignty of the country. This visit left an indelible impression on the young minds, instilling in them a sense of patriotism and admiration for the Armed Forces.
The tour included a visit to the Ladakh Scouts Regiment Centre and their historic museum, enriching the students' knowledge about the pivotal role of community members in guarding the country's borders in the unforgiving terrain of the Ladakh region. The Indian Army's initiative to organize such motivational tours reflects its commitment to nurturing youth, fostering national integration, and contributing to nation-building.
