Kargil student Zulikha Banoo selected for National Level Youth Parliament 2026–27

The Department of Political Science, Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, has congratulated Zulikha Banoo, a fourth-semester student, on her selection for the National Level Youth Parliament 2026–27.

Zulikha Banoo, a resident of Thasgam village in Sankoo Valley of Kargil district, Union Territory of Ladakh, has earned this distinction through her dedication, academic excellence, and commitment to democratic values and youth leadership. The department also extended congratulations to her parents, Mohd Ali and Fatima Banoo, whose constant support and guidance have contributed to her success.

The State Director of MY Bharat Ladakh, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has formally invited Zulikha Banoo to participate in the National Level Youth Parliament 2026–27.

The invitation follows her remarkable performance at the State Level Youth Parliament, where she secured a place among the top participants. Based on this achievement, she has been selected to represent the Union Territory of Ladakh at the national event, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 15 to 17 June 2026.

Her participation in the National Level Youth Parliament is a moment of pride for the Union Territory of Ladakh and the University of Ladakh. Representing the region and the university at this prestigious national platform, Zulikha exemplifies youth leadership, democratic engagement, and academic excellence.
