“Jung sJabs” programme conducted at Charasa village to strengthen welfare outreach
Under the Administration at Doorstep initiative, the “Jung sJabs” programme was conducted on April 9 at Charasa village in Nubra Sub-Division under the leadership of Tehsildar Sumoor, Tashi Jorgais.
The programme aimed to strengthen last-mile delivery of government services and enhance public awareness of various welfare schemes by bringing essential services directly to residents’ doorsteps.
Addressing the gathering, the Tehsildar highlighted the key objectives of the initiative and urged residents to actively participate and avail themselves of the benefits offered. He also briefed the public on land revenue matters and attentively listened to their queries and concerns.
Officers from various departments conducted awareness sessions on their respective schemes, outlining key benefits and implementation procedures. They also interacted directly with residents, addressing grievances and responding to queries to ensure efficient and transparent service delivery.
A wide range of services was provided during the camp, including Aadhaar registration; issuance of Resident, ST, and Domicile certificates; ABHA ID generation; PMJAY enrolment; facilitation of Kisan Credit Cards; PM-KISAN registration; APAAR ID creation; and distribution of essential medicines by the Sheep and Animal Husbandry Departments.
Officials from multiple departments actively participated and ensured on-the-spot service delivery. Departments including Revenue, Health, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, and the Block Development Department were present at the camp.
The programme received a positive response, with a large number of residents participating and directly benefiting from various government schemes.
