Joint Director of Information, Imteeaz Kacho, visited the Tehsil Information Centre Zanskar to review its functioning on May 11.

Kacho was accompanied by Tehsildar, Zanskar Mohammad Hassan. He inspected the newly constructed office building and also took stock of the utility of the old building rooms which are being used for storing PA system equipment and other items.

Further, he was informed that the TIC staff remains busy in giving coverage to events of various departments of the Sub-Division on a regular basis. He also took stock of the election-related duties assigned to the staff by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

He appreciated their sincere efforts towards keeping the TIC functional despite shortage of manpower. Kacho was also urged to look into various service-related, financial and infrastructural issues as well as logistic matters.

He gave assurance for quick and early redressal and advised the staff to give full coverage to SVEEP activities in the Sub-Division and perform their election duties with sincerity.

Regarding urgent election duties, Tehsildar Mohammad Hassan informed that the staff of TIC-Zanskar are very cooperative  and are always readily available round-the-clock.
