JKBOSE reduced syllabus for 10th, 12th by 40%
A preparatory meeting to conduct the annual examination of high school and intermediate in UT Ladakh was convened by Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department UT Ladakh, Ajeet Kumar Sahu on November 10 at UT Secretariat.
Datesheet of class 10th and 12th annual examination in the Union Territory of Ladakh and J&K is finalized.
Deputy Commissioner Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya; Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Baseer Ul-Haq Choudhary; JKBOSE Chairperson, Veena Pandita; Director School Education, Mumtaz Ali and representatives of JKBOSE Leh and Kargil branch attended the meeting through video conference.
Keeping in view the harsh winter season in the region, Ajeet Kumar Sahu directed the DCs of both Leh and Kargil to complete inspection of all exams centers to provide satisfactory facilities of heating, electricity, drinking water, toilet facility and to also make arrangement for sanitization during the exams. He further directed to conduct training to the staff regarding the handling of material as per Covid SoP.
Keeping in view the maintenance of sensitivity and security, he directed the respective DCs to engage concerned Tehsildars / Naib Tehsildars and concerned Officer/officials for carrying confidential materials to the respective exam centers.
Chairperson JKBOSE informed that the high school and intermediate exams will be conducted in offline mode with all the COVID-19 safety measures and social distancing norms. She informed in the meeting that all candidates will be allowed in the examination except for the COVID-19 symptomatic patients. She further informed that every exam center has separate rooms especially for asymptomatic patients and candidates who are under quarantine.
It is also informed in the meeting that JKBOSE has reduced the syllabus for 10th and 12th by 40% due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has resulted in closing the schools. She further informed that a separate exam shall be conducted in the month of March 2021, for those candidates who are not able to sit in the examination due to positive cases.
